You could watch the trailer and explain the movie to your friends, but you'd miss the subplots and the little things that make the whole movie entertaining. The ending of the Sopranos was genius.
Storytelling and directorial excellence. The foreshadowing in the last season wasn't over the top. The actual last scene—the plot, the tension building, the directing decisions—was brilliant.
And I watched the Sopranos for the first time in 2024, so it holds up decades later.
